Team photographs

Six historical racing photos were recovered from James E Hamelton Jr.’s Hamelton Racing album. The family supplied the history of Jim’s 77/79 number magnets and identified the Mustang Justin borrowed and rolled with his taped-on 28. The Quincy 79 photograph was also supplied directly by the family. Original photographers and race dates have not been confirmed; Facebook sharing dates are not race dates.

Jim’s white-and-orange 48J Hobby Stock photograph was supplied by the Hamelton family, who identified it as his last race car before retirement. The photographer and photograph date have not been confirmed.

The patriotic 77K Hobby Stock photograph used in the masthead is by Carroll Hoover Photos, supplied by the Hamelton family. The header uses an isolated car cutout with the background and watermark removed; the photographer is credited here. Kyle’s cockpit portrait was also supplied by the family; the photographer and date have not been confirmed.

Ten additional photographs were recovered from Kyle’s Facebook cover-photo album, with individual source links in the gallery. The patriotic 77K dirt action photograph visibly credits Carroll Hoover Photos. Original watermarks are retained. Sharing dates do not necessarily identify the dates the photographs were taken.

Nine additional Sport Mod, workshop and pit-area photos were supplied by the family. Watermarks are preserved. The action photograph with a faint watermark is awaiting a confirmed photographer credit.

The two photographs marked “2020” at the Quincy Mall display—the 77K Sport Mod and Michael’s 47H kart—are credited to Gregg Teel in the original images. Supplied by the Hamelton family. The original photographer and event markings are retained.

The indoor display view, watermelon hood view and loaded Sport Mod trailer view were also supplied by the family. Dates and photographers for those three photographs have not been provided.

The original green-and-purple 77 photo, tribute hood close-up, puzzle-piece 77K action photo and Sport Mod recovery photo were supplied directly by the Hamelton family in October 2026. Original photographers and race dates have not yet been identified.

Kyle’s pink-and-green 77K photo comes from the Hamelton Racing 77K Facebook page. Michael’s 47H photo comes from Michael’s Hamelton Racing Facebook page; his kart was identified by the family. Photographer credits were not present in the posts we recovered. Contact us to add or correct a credit.

The older 77K pictures were recovered from Kyle’s gallery on the archived HameltonRacing.com website. Justin’s six early photos were preserved from his live personal website. Original photographs are not assigned a new license by this site. Kyle’s tribute collage comes from his October 2021 post; the family identified the tribute to Jim. The photo of Kandice alongside Kyle’s Sport Mod comes from her December 2020 post.

Eight additional photographs were supplied by the family from Kandice’s Facebook album, shared in July and October 2023. Each photo in the album links to its original Facebook source. Displayed dates describe when the images were shared, rather than confirmed race dates.

The RC preparation photo comes from Kyle’s January 2009 photo album. Family RC racing participation and Kyle’s watermelon-themed 77K Predator kart were confirmed by the family.

Kandice’s 2026 car

The family supplied photographs of the lavender Honda Accord, trunk dice artwork and upright 7K roof plate in November 2026 and identified it as Kandice’s 2026 car. The roof plate is centered on the roof, with number faces toward each side. Photograph dates and photographer are unconfirmed. The shirt illustrations are design concepts based on those photographs.

Games and simulator recreations

James Hamelton recreated the family’s cars in the former Facebook game Car Town and in NASCAR Racing 2003 Season. The family supplied these images in November 2026. They are game images and a real-car comparison, not photographs of additional physical race cars. Game names and interface artwork belong to their respective owners; these family creations do not imply affiliation.

More family racing photographs

The family supplied eight additional photographs in November 2026, including Jim’s 77 Chevrolet Monza, identified by the family as his car from 2005–2006, and Kyle’s puzzle-piece and watermelon 77K cars. Exact race dates and photographers are unconfirmed. Screenshot borders and phone navigation bars were cropped where present; photographer watermarks remain intact. Original supplied files are preserved in the project archive.

The 2020 gender reveal

The family supplied three photographs and recalled using the puzzle-piece 77K for a gender reveal in 2020. A PVC pipe attached to the exhaust held pink powder; Kyle started and revved the car to release it. The event year and story were provided by the family; photographer and exact event date are unconfirmed.

The 20-year tribute

The Hamelton family confirmed 2001 for Jim’s original car and 2021 for Kyle’s tribute. The anniversary banner was created with AI image tools from the family’s original 77 photograph, Kyle’s 2021 tribute collage and the supplied Hamelton Racing logo. It is commemorative artwork, with a newly composed perspective and motion effects. The hood design was then composited directly from the original hood photograph to preserve the actual artwork and lettering. The tribute page shows Jim’s original photo and the Kyle-only portion of the 2021 collage. Kyle’s collage comes from his October 2021 post; the original 77 and hood close-up were supplied by the family. Original photographers have not been confirmed.

Merchandise design concepts

The tribute, team, Kyle Hamelton, Michael Hamelton and Kandice Hamor shirt designs and realistic garment mockups were prepared with AI image tools using the family’s supplied logo and approved tribute artwork. The original hood photograph was composited into the tribute print artwork to preserve the dedication. Mockups are concepts, not photographs of manufactured shirts. The red and white Port Authority K500 polo mockups use the family’s Printify product as a reference and recreate the 2001–2002 team shirts, with dark Brush Script MT embroidery on the wearer’s left chest. The team shirt front uses the supplied Hamelton Racing logo directly. The corrected Kyle Cavalier shirts embed the recovered original 77K graphic directly in the print compositions and mockups, without substituting another number font. The family confirmed the puzzle car’s TSS, XPERT AUTOMOTIVE and MONTROSE Sandbar decals. Proposed prices were approved by the family; sales have not opened.

Kyle’s number artwork

Kyle’s custom 77K number design was recovered from the family’s Extreme SSD, in its Hamelton Racing folder. A 10,000 10,000 transparent PNG master was used to prepare the website image. The artwork replaces decorative typed number graphics; it does not alter numbers in the photographs or tribute illustration. An original vector source has not been located.

Race-night background video

The family supplied the race-night clip used on the homepage. Credit: @thatracechick, the TikTok account shown on the family-supplied original. At the family’s request, the website excerpt is cropped to exclude the on-screen TikTok watermark. The excerpt has no audio track. The original supplied video is preserved in the project archive. No race date, track or individual driver identification is asserted for this clip.

Team artwork

The checkered header artwork and neon Hamelton 77K Racing graphic were supplied by the family. The header car is a hand-cut silhouette from the team’s real 77K photograph; the original photo remains in the album.

More family photographs and Doug’s memorial

The Hamelton family supplied the additional Jim, Kyle and Doug photographs and identified Sapphire in her little 77K car. Doug drove the blue 29 for Bergheger-Pohren Racing, an allied team that pitted with Hamelton Racing. Photograph dates and photographers remain unconfirmed.

Doug’s dates and biographical details were checked against Printy Funeral Home’s obituary for Douglas Carlyl Bergheger. The memorial is a family dedication, not a reproduction of the obituary.

Header vehicle cutouts were prepared with AI-assisted background removal from supplied photographs. Original photographs remain preserved. The patriotic Hobby Stock photo is by Carroll Hoover Photos; Michael’s mall display kart photograph is by Gregg Teel. Sapphire’s little car is excluded from the header rotation.
